AHMA

My grandpa died on 1986.

Yeah I was at my grandma's room and I was wondering what she keeps in her drawers(you know, old people are super sentimental), so I was being curious and I opened the drawer and looked at her things. Don't think I'm rude, I'm just being seriously curious.

Yeah I saw alot of old photocopied letters and my grandpa's death certificate. My mom's police report when she was like 14 or 15 because she borrowed money from her friend and her friend's dad want to kill her or something like that. Then I saw alot of police reports that my mom kept running away from home. -.-

Then I saw old application letters to buy flats and I found out that my grandma wanted to buy a flat in Bukit Batok East in 1986. O.O

I saw my grandma's occupation: washerwoman

I was like WHAT!@#$%^& there's such a job? Anyway I felt really sad for my grandmother because she became a widow at a young age, had to take care of 3 children(one super rebellious one), raise the family with a small amount of salary ($350).

And now she's still working at the shipyard -.- to sell rice.

But now at least she's much more carefree I guess, don't have to worry so much about children :)

Somebody called and my sister picked up the phone. Within split seconds she passes the phone to me and I was wondering who would contact me by the house phone. The caller was a Chinese national. I was thinking, another scam call.

The caller carried on to say that their company in China selling jewelry is trying to venture out to Singapore. (I was thinking, whatever) She asked whether I bought any jewelry or not. And she asked me my age. I lied and told her I was 20 years old LOL! She asked whether there were any adults at home, and I said there isn't. And she asked whether my grandparents were at home(-.-) and I said no.

AND THEN SHE HUNG UP!

LOL. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAA. Stupid scammer woman -.-

Thank you thank you

Ahhhhh. 我都老了, 长大了。I am really terrified by the fact that I have only 6 days left.(before I change into a vampire!!) HAHAHA.

I read Staff Jacelyn's blog about serving with joy. I was really enlightened her post. Enrolment seems so far and so near at the same time. We have precision drill to finish before enrolment as well. All those messy steps and bangs. My mom just said she would be there for enrolment service and she doesn't know anything about my new post at all. I plan to give her a surprise! (啊, 我那孝顺的女儿)

Thank you Miss Lishan/Jaslyn/Staff Liying/Soon-to-be-ex-acsm. Comforting me and also bringing me to terms. Thank God for giving me the post for a purpose. At thise point of time I'm still quite sure I'm dreaming, and that sudden spasm of shock, ugh.

After one year, all I will worry about is O levels.

Bye. Maybe I will blog after enrolment or something :)

He died yesterday at 1.30am. Yesterday night, I went to his funeral service. When I first saw his face, I thought I came to a wrong funeral because I couldn't recognise him at all. His long hair and radiant smile are gone. The nursing home cut off his hair and he had put on some makeup. Instantly I had mixed feelings. I was glad that he could return home but I was sad that he had left us.

I remember a few years go he brought his son to our house to play xbox. He was such a loving father. Even at his last hour, he still worried about his kids. Who would have thought that cancer could strike somebody like that.

I will miss you dearly. And 5 February is a day that I will never forget for life.

Goodbye, I will miss you

My somehow distant granduncle is gonna die soon. My sis and gran are in the hospital now visiting him and my sis just messaged me that he can't remember them anymore. He was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago, but I think it was somehow 3rd or 4th stage. Now he's dying.

He has been suh a friendly granduncle. Offering hugs whenever we meet. The cheerful person with long hair tied into a pony tail. Now lying in the hospital bed, I assume bald.

May he rest in peace.

If we can't, we must.

It's been a long time since I posted. Okay like 29 days.

I am very tired. You won't imagine my fatigue but I don't know why, there is something inside me that tells me that I must finish my chem homework by today. God's indescribable thing :)

God has been very generous and merciful. I recall the previous math tests, the questions that I studied for and those in the question paper were somehow similar.

And even though there were only 12 sec1 girls joining GB, I am faithful that He will give us more people! And today's parade was.... nice because squad 3 won the games and we were rewarded the huge prize with goodies and I could see the new girls really participating and enjoying themselves.

Sec3 is.... I wouldn't say difficult but very very tough. Mr Quek warned us about the combined humans. We end school at 3.30pm everyday and reach home at about 4. I no longer take naps and often sleep at 11pm or 12. With strict teachers, homeworks are piling up by the moment... ):

Church tomorrow! Ps Dan will be concluding James 101(I nearly typed When Truth Collides). Exciting stuffs. And I am even more excited for the next series about temptation. Thank God for an awesome day today :)

can I dread the new year

My brother is not coming back today because he has to overstay for one day. If not have to pay money to leave or something. And my maid has no money. Zzzzz. And my mom's gonna fly to Indonesia tomorrow to bring him back. So much for my maid to bring my brother to Indonesia.

And I'm spending the last day of the year rotting at home and celebrating myself in my deserted, pathetic room.

I'm dreading everything that's got to do with 2010 because:

1) I'm gonna be a sec 3! sec 3 = upper sec = stress = O level = DIE.

2) Sec 3 camp? Some bonding camp or whatever to bond the new sec 3 classes together or something. Sucks. I like going for camps to break free from home but I seriously hate doing cheers with people I don't know and talk to people I don't know at all.

3) Chinese O level. UGH.

4) Pure Bio.

5) No miss ng, mr quek, ms chua, mrs loh.

and the list just goes on and on and on.

New Year's resolutions?:

1) Work extremely hard.  Academically.

2) Lost weight. Umm.. 0.5kg in a month.

3) Quit biting my nails.

4) Get out of debt ._. and save at least $5 a week.

5) Be more organized.

I'm watching Grey's Anatomy and indulging myself in the presence of made believe no-homework-atmosphere that I'm in. :)

epic randomness~

Me: Mom, where are we going next year?

Mom: Ask your sister.

Me: Let's go to Hong Kong

Sister: Phuket lah.

Mom: We'll go phuket if you 2 dares to go parasailing.

Me: NO WAY!

LOL. A few years ago I saw my younger sister parasailing and it scared the heck out of me. She was only like, 8 or 9!? Seriously, jet skiing already freaked me out ALOT-.- I have fear for deep waters.....

I wanna go Korea again! I miss their awesome food (stew, ban fan, and grilled meat!) Their food made me start to eat veggie O.O

Me: Mom, remember if my O's get less than 10 must go US hor. I want to go LA

Mom: No, we go Las Vegas

Me: Nevermind, we take domestic flight from LA to Las Vegas (thinking too far already)

Mom: LA is Las Vegas what!

Me: =.=!?!??!

You Are a Geek

You love to learn, especially when it's about technology. No subject is too obscure for you.
You enjoy tinkering with things to see how they work. You aren't a traditional learner either... you need to hack around to figure things out.

You may have the brains to be a super rich Silicon Valley geek, but you're truly content to have your own favorite projects, subjects, and toys.
For you, being a geek is not about the glory. It's about a love of digging deep and truly understanding the world.

My baby sister just came into the room and stuck this spoon at me and I sipped whatever was on the spoon. Maybe she gave me poison.

it's NEW MOON

Do you smell that...?! Jealousy, baby!

AND YEAH We(XJM and I) went to watch NEW MOON. The moment I've been waiting for. Chris Weitz did a great job man. We're so pumped up for Eclipse already. I think they sticked quite closely to the book, other than the volturi fight. Loved the transition of months too. And the trio's acting was epic too. Maybe I'm giving away too much spoilers here. LOL

Go and watch people! Sneak previews are on from 26 to 29 Nov. And yes, you get to watch the whole movie for sneak previews. (LOL-.-) Watch it before 3 December! :)

<<<< Wow I like this poster

a close shave

Honestly speaking I was disappointed when I knew I got 4th in class...., because I expected even better. Then I began asking myself whether I had put in more effort than I had before. I hadn't. So should I still be disappointed? Or should I say, disappointed with God?

Absolutely NO. Why should I? Since He has given me 4th, which many many people dreamt of getting. Although I didn't get what I want, I should be praising Him no matter what with I have and thank Him for that! HAHAHAHAH

So, HALLELUJAH!

(I was thattttttt close for 3rd...., hahahaha.) Now shall discuss subject selection.... By the way my mom's gonna get me ipod touch! :D

smiley

<----- I THOUGHT THIS SMILEY WAS KINDA CUTE

Highly enlightened by the qt today... solely on temptation.

Especially James 1:12-15,

"12Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life.

13-15Don't let anyone under pressure to give in to evil say, "God is trying to trip me up." God is impervious to evil, and puts evil in no one's way. The temptation to give in to evil comes from us and only us. We have no one to blame but the leering, seducing flare-up of our own lust. Lust gets pregnant, and has a baby: sin! Sin grows up to adulthood, and becomes a real killer. "

That's was extremely and amazingly cool!! To know that we're tempted due to (evil) desires but not God trying to tempt us.. that was my misconception. Hah!

ADRENCHHOE says:

hey did you know that God didnt tempt us!

i didnt know that!!

XJM(: says:

o.o

i knew that

it was satan what

ADRENCHHOE says:

ummm... i think to be specific its our evil desires..

but still linked to satan? i think

XJM(: says:

yeah

think so

Praise ye the Lord!

Although I was very disappointed with my chinese results, the Lord still rewards! How much more amazing, can He be!?!?! Indeed the best person in the world.

*stares at the oreo lying on my table*

Ultra happy when I calculated my overall percentage to be 70.9%...! Consider my chinese results (111.5/200).. should be quite good bah. Thank God that Christina and my fasting worked!! Praise Him no matter what results we receive.

*grabs oreo and start munching*

MUAHAHHAHAHAA! I'm happy and thankful :D

contradiction

Probably we should just laugh and get over it....

Dreadful results, but hey, didn't we agree to praise God for whatever He gives us?

Stop sulking, praise Him!! Everything is there for a reason! HOHO
